Vincenzo Frattini presents a short video projected in loop, entitled Cielo / Planetario. In this work the elementary nature of the invention and the ingenuity both of the process that generates the action of the video and of the approach to an almost “metaphysical” theme are significant. It is a “homemade” mechanism by the artist, designed to represent the rotary movement of a planetarium, through the use of a simple colored cardboard roller, moved by a drill. The continuously replicated movement becomes the metaphor of a process of creation and an uninterrupted flow of life, which underlies the structure of the universe, similar to that of a millstone and the mixing of the elements.
